THE LODGE CRESCENT KINGS CORONATION STREET PARTY 2023
Welcome to our Street Party website which will hopefully provide some more information on what we are planning.
We really hope you will join us in this celebration, we would all like to get to know our neighbours more and this I a great opportunity to come together as a community.
You can RSVP by 21 April 2023 and let us know how you will partake or what you can contribute via the form below or you can join the Lodge Crescent Whats App group via the QR code at the bottom of the page which you just need to scan via the camera in whatsapp.
WHEN
The street party will take place from 11am until 3pm on Sunday 7th May 2023.
The road will be closed from 10am until 4pm to allow for set up and tidying up after the party.
ENTERTAINMENT
Bouncy Castle
We have booked a bouncy castle for the children. By attending the party you agree to supervise your children at all times and in partaking in the activity you accept responsibility and are aware of the risks. We are using a reputable company to provide the bouncy castle and will have it on grass for added safety. A risk assessment will be carried out and we will be monitoring capacity to keep the children safe.
Music
We will have some music for everyone to enjoy. This may be a live band or just music via a PA system. If there is anyone who would like to perform at the street party please let us know!
Craft Activities
We will have some craft activities such as make your own crowns for the children.
We also hope to have some garden games for all to enjoy!
CAKE COMPETITION
We would like to run a cake competition so please do enter so we have a selection of cakes to judge.
The theme is: CORONATION 2023
This could be in style or decoration. It’s just a bit of fun and we are really hoping the Mayor will pop by and judge it for us. There will be a prize for the winner!!!
After the judging we will serve slices of the cakes for 50p each to raise funds towards the costs of the street party so please bring some cash on the day!
FOOD
We would recommend you bring a small picnic for you and your family. We are asking households to contribute a small sharing dish to feed no more than 8 people.
To ensure we have a good mix we thought it would be a good idea for certain households to contribute a sweet or savoury dish:
Odd numbers to provide a savoury dish
Even numbers to provide a sweet dish.
DRINKS
We will have a table with some drinks and alcohol that will all be free and available to drink. If you have anything you wish to contribute to this please let us know.
FURNITURE
If you have any ‘easily movable’ tables and/or chairs that you are happy to bring along please let us know via the form so we can work out how many we have. It would also be good to know who has a gazebo that we may be able to use if there is forecast for rain, although we hope not!
DONATIONS / FUNDING
We have been lucky to be awarded a grant from Bromley Council towards to cost of putting on the street party. We therefore have a bank account for LODGE CRESCENT COMMUNITY GROUP.
If you would like to donate anything in advance you can do so by making a payment into the community group account. Any funds that remain after the party will be donated to one of the King’s Charities.
